Talk to the Press expose a notorious paedophile who slipped through the net and abused an 11-year-old girl after bungling authorities moved him just yards from a nursery and children’s park.  The story ‘Paedophile Given Home Near Park – Where He Abused Girl Aged 11’ was run as an exclusive news story in last week’s Sunday People.

Our team were disgusted when a mother-of-three contacted us to say her 11-year-old daughter had been groomed by known paedophile, Paul William Francis, after bungling authorities let him slip through the net.

We knew a paper would want to expose the failings of Yarlington Housing Group’s failings, after they failed to run background checks on the sex offender and moved him into a house overlooking a park, nursery and youth club.

Depraved Francis wrote letters to the schoolgirl, forced her to touch his crotch and showed her explicit photos of underage girls before begging her to take her clothes off and pose for pictures.

Francis, 62, pleaded guilty to engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13, possession of indecent images of a child and inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity. He has been remanded in custody for his sick acts and is due to be sentenced at Taunton Crown Court on 28th July.

The girl’s devastated parents are now fighting for justice after police admit the paedophile was known to them, but that they were unaware he was moving into the area.

Her furious mother says Yarlington Housing Group, who provide housing across the UK, failed to do basic checks on Francis and allowed the known sex beast to move in just metres away from a park, youth centre and nursery.

Last week, Francis was sentenced to four years in prison and an extra six years on license. The mother has since lodged a formal complaint with Yarlington Housing Group, who she blames for her daughter’s abuse.

She said: “Angry does not even cover how I feel. I can’t let my daughter out of my sight now, I’m so overprotective and can’t believe this has happened to my little girl.

“I don’t think she fully understands what happens to her but it pains me to think that as she grows up, she will remember what that sicko put her through.”

This weekend the mum’s story appeared the Sunday People.
