Do you want to contact The Sunday People to sell a story, provide a celebrity tip-off, or make a comment?

SClub72 copyTalk to the Press work with all of the national newspapers including The Sunday People.  We are a free service to help you place your story in the press and ensure you get the maximum cash possible.

This week, S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt ex-fiancé Adam Thomas got in touch to ask if we would represent him and help him lift the lid on his two year relationship with Hannah. He told us how the Reach for The Stars singer had left him ‘heartbroken’ after she suddenly ended their relationship and got back with her former bandmate Paul Cattermole.

According to Adam, Hannah and Paul rekindled their old relationship after working long hours together on the S Club 7 reunion tour.

Jilted Adam was left devastated when he found out and wanted to tell his side of the story to the press. But with no media knowledge, he wanted to come through a reputable agency to ensure he was getting the best fee for his story – as well as copy approval.

We read Adam’s story back to him before it went to press to make sure he was 100 per cent happy with the finished piece. We placed Adam’s story exclusively with The Sunday People, where it appeared front page and as a double spread inside the paper.

Do you have a Story to sell to the Sunday People or other publications?

Talk to the Press has direct lines to all of the national newspapers and magazines.  We work directly with all of the commissioning editors to secure our clients the best deals and represent members of the public to ensure they get paid, and the story is told their way.

We consider every story that is sent to us and can tell you within minutes whether it would work and how much it is worth.  All you need to do is send us a few basic details and the outline of the story (a handful of lines will do so that we get an idea what the story involves). Use the story valuation form on this page.  It is secure, no-obligation and confidential – nothing will ever be printed without your permission.

For example, you could write something like:  “I was 25 stone but lost 16 stone after my husband cheated on me.  Now I look fab and feel great”

We would get back to you to tell you what extreme slimming stories are selling for at the moment and what you should expect for your story.  If you are happy, we can contact the editors on your behalf and ask them if they would be interested in buying your story from you.

To read more about how to sell a story to the Sunday People, or any other publication, see the Sell My Story page.

Do you have a tip on a celebrity and want to find out how much it’s worth?

We deal with dozens of celeb tips a week and are often behind most of the stories you read in the papers.

We’re particularly interested in British sports stars, soap stars and household names. The best way to find out if you have a story to sell is to get in touch and speak to one of our friendly team.

Everything is completely confidential until we’ve secured you an offer you’re happy with.

We do not deal with junior reporters in-house on the papers, all our contacts are high up and on the desk. This means we can secure you the best possible fee for your story and get you a quick offer – by going straight to the top.

If you’re not happy with an offer we have secured you, you’re not obliged to go through with the piece and everything will remain completely confidential.

How long does it take for a story to make the papers?

It really depends on the story but every paper will try and get the story in as quickly as possible. With Adam’s story, he contacted us on Wednesday and his story appeared in the paper on Sunday.

Because he was going on record and had evidence to back up what he was saying, it was quite straight forward to work on.

Other stories may require a lot more groundwork – depending on the evidence supplied. But if this is the case, we will keep you updated throughout the process to make sure you know what’s going on.

If you think you have a story which we’d be interested in, fill out the form on this page or call 0207 549 5406.

One of our dedicated team will get back to you within 24 hours. Please do not contact any other journalists, agencies or publications directly – as it could compromise any deal we secure for you.
