Talk to the Press helps Ozzy the incredible balancing dog (and his owner!) handle press attention

Last week, Talk to the Press recieved a call from Nick Johnson, the owner of Ozzy, aka the incredible balancing dog.

Nick’s life had been turned upside down a few days earlier when a video shot by a passerby but which featured his dog Ozzy performing balancing on his hind legs, on a chain, went viral online and were then shown on the Jonathan Ross show. Why I have no regrets over letting my teen daughter have a gastric band

You may remember Juliet and Katie Hill’s story from November last year, when they appeared in the Daily Mail. Four years ago, Katie became Britain’s youngest gastric band patient after her mum paid for her to fly out to Belgium for the operation when she was just 14.

At more than 18 stone, Katie was morbidly obese and at risk of developing illnesses like diabetes. She could barely climb the stairs and was deeply unhappy about her weight, but none of the diets Juliet put her daughter on seemed to work. They turned to a gastric band as a last resort.

Flanked by her dad and new husband Anthony and beaming from ear to ear, 32-year-old Jay Pettifer looks like any other happy bride in her wedding snaps. But people would be forgiven for confusing the groom with Jay’s dad – because, at 53, Anthony is 22 years older than his wife.

In another twist, Anthony is actually Jay’s dad’s best friend, and she has known him since childhood. But they became close after attending the weekly pub quiz together when Jay was in her 20s. Soon their friendship turned into something more and Jay plucked up the courage to tell Anthony how she felt.

How I found the courage to send my violent boyfriend to jail

Marta Fedorowska, 26, got in touch with us as she wanted to show other women who are trapped in violent relationships that it’s never too late to escape, and we placed her true story in Full House magazine.

Last year Marta’s violent ex-boyfriend Florin Moga was jailed for four years for a series of brutal attacks on her, which left her battered and bruised and fearing for her life.

The couple met when Marta visited the car wash where Florin worked and, like many controlling men, she says there were no outward signs of the monster he would become. He was loving and attentive and within weeks the couple had moved in together. Read more…

I had a big pregnancy bump – but no baby

In this week’s Chat magazine, you’ll see TTTP client Susan Young, who looked six months pregnant – but there was no baby. In fact Susan had something called a molar pregnancy, where cysts had developed because of an abnormal conception. It’s a very rare condition whereby the patient appears to be pregnant – and has a bump to show for it.

When Susan discovered she was pregnant in March 2009, she was over the moon. Already a mum of six, she couldn’t wait for the new addition to the family, and a visit to the GP confirmed the happy news.

Watch TTTP client ‘supermum’ Tania Sullivan on Channel 4 tonight

We’ve been working with mum of 11 Tania Sullivan ever since her blog about her large family started to attract press attention. We’ve secured her deals with newspapers, she’s appeared in a women’s magazine and the Daily Mail have even branded her ‘Britain’s busiest mum’.

Earlier this year, Tania said about us“When the media interest in our family grew too great for us to handle ourselves we were confident in handing over the reins to Natasha, Katie and the rest of the staff at TTTP.  They worked alongside us, reassuring us with any doubts we may have had on the way and delivered in a professional and productive manner. We look forward to continuing to work with TTTP in the near future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”

Tania is a true inspiration, not only is she now a mum to 11 having recently had twins, but she has also written a book, runs a popular blog and only gave up her job as a recruitment consultant after having had six children. For those of us who struggle to cope with a couple of children, it’s difficult to imagine how she does it!

Eight years, £36k of IVF and a surrogate – incredible TTTP story appears in the Sun newspaper.

Joy Ward, 36, from Swansea, almost gave up on her dreams of becoming a mother when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in May 2009. Unlike most breast cancer sufferers, Joy wasn’t scared of dying, or losing a breast, she was scared the inevitable chemotherapy would destroy all her viable eggs – making it impossible for her to continue with future IVF treatment.

Joy, who had already spent £36,000 on seven failed IVF treatments over the space of eight years, begged her oncologist to postpone her chemotherapy so she could have one more cycle of IVF and preserve her eggs.

By this point, Joy and her long-term partner, Dev Sutton, 52, knew their only chance of having a baby would be through surrogacy – so in September 2009 they contacted COTS agency and explained their desperate situation.
