My ex tried to blow me up with a home-made petrol bomb

When Pamela Manning, 54, split up with her long-term partner, Malcolm Stewart, 44, she never expected he’d try to kill her three years later. But that’s exactly what happened to the grandmother-of-one from St. Ives, Cambridgeshire and earlier this year, her ex was sent to prison after planting home-made petrol bombs beneath her car.

In 2000, Pamela Manning, then 43, thought she’d met the man of her dreams when Malcolm, 33, started chatted her up in their local social club. The couple quickly moved in together and got engaged. Everything was great for the first four years. But when Pamela, a mature student, graduated from university and secured a well paid great job as an environmental health officer, Malcolm became paranoid and jealous.

I forgot the man I loved – this week’s Love it! magazine

When Jackie Darkin told us about the minor bump to the head that left her with severe memory loss and unable to recognise her own fiancé, we knew magazines would be clamouring to feature her story. And this week Jackie’s life-changing story appears in Love It.

Jackie, 24, from Paisley, was diagnosed with retrograde amnesia after fainting and bumping her head in August last year. The fainting episode was thought to have been caused by a mild virus and thankfully Jackie escaped with a couple of small bruises – but the effect on her memory was devastating.

When she came round a few minutes later she didn’t know her own name, how old she was or where she lived. She didn’t even recognise her mum or any family members. Bizarrely, it was only Jackie’s autobiographical memories that were affected and she retained perfect memories of world events and other trivia, such as who the Prime Minister was and who won the Second World War. Our ‘bag of sugar’ babies were too tiny too touch – this week’s Chat magazine

Kelly Hough got in touch with us with her amazing story of how she gave birth to tiny twins who weighed less than a bag of sugar, and this week her inspirational tale appears in Chat magazine.

Kelly, 28, and her partner Gareth, 26, conceived through IVF treatment and Kelly’s pregnancy was fine until 23 weeks when she suddenly started suffering stomach cramps last September. It turned out she was experiencing an early labour and the babies were delivered that day 17 weeks prematurely.

Billy and Kaydon weighed less than 2lbs each at birth and doctors didn’t expect them to survive. They spent several weeks in intensive care and suffered from jaundice and bleeds on the brain because of their early birth. Read more…

TTTP secures coverage in numerous newspapers for couple with disastrous wedding photos

When Anneka Geary got in touch about her disastrous wedding photos, we knew a newspaper would be interested. Her story was sold to the press using the newswires, and she received coverage in the Daily Mail, Sun, Mirror, Express and even The Times.

Newlyweds Tom and Anneka were gutted when their £750 wedding album arrived, without a single usable photo. Shots of their big day were out of focus, badly lit, missing key people and featured the back of guest’s heads. And because the photographer was epileptic, he declared he couldn’t use flash.

Anneka says: ‘All we wanted was one photo to put in a frame, but we’ve been left with nothing.’

‘My baby or my life’ – TTTP story in this week’s That’s Life magazine

Lyndsey Crowder got in touch with us as she wanted to share her incredible story and this week she appears in That’s Life telling how she faced an agonising decision when she was diagnosed with cancer – to choose her baby or her life.

Lyndsey, 34, was just eight weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She had a football-sized tumour in her chest cavity and tumours in the lymph nodes in her neck and the cancer was so aggressive, doctors said she may only have lived a few more weeks if she hadn’t gone to hospital when she did.

But for Lyndsey, the most devastating thing was the news she may have to terminate her pregnancy. After suffering two previous miscarriages, Lyndsey says this is not something she or her husband Nic would even consider.

Global coverage for the baby potty trained at just six months old

We were astounded when full-time mum Raluca Oniciuc from Hertfordshire, called us to say she’d potty trained her six-month-old daughter, Izabella,  when it normally takes most mothers two to three years.  But after hearing Raluca’s top tips on motherhood we knew a newspaper would love her story.

Raluca told us that she ignored the midwife’s advice about putting Izabella into a routine and followed Izabella’s natural ‘routine’ instead. Raluca, who played baby Mozart to Izabella when she was pregnant, fed Izabella when she wanted feeding and let her sleep when she was tired. She believes that all parents should listen to their children as they’re more intelligent than adults give them credit for.

TTTP helps inspirational mum raise awareness of Coeliac disease

Crette Berry got in touch with us a few weeks ago wanting to raise awareness of Coeliac disease, an auto-immune disease cuased by an intolerance to gluten.

In an inspirational chain of events, last year, Crette took her son’s health into her own hands after his behaviour at school became so problematic he was on the verge of expulsion. Concerned Taylor, 6, was simply ‘naughty’ Crette began researching any possible causes of his behaviour and general lethary online.

Soon, through a process of elimination, she began to wonder if he had Coeliac disease. Her thoughts were dismissed by the GP and a specialist, but undeterred, Crette persisted and her mother’s instinct was to prove right. Earlier this year, Taylor was diagnosed with Coeliac disease and since changing his diet, his behaviour has improved considerably.

Fiona Argo shares her story with Pick Me Up magazine

Also this week, Fiona Argo appears in  Pick Me Up, where she talks about her battle to convince doctors she wasn’t anorexic after her weight dropped to just five stone. Doctors refused to believe Fiona wasn’t suffering from an eating disorder, despite the fact she was in constant pain every time she ate a meal. In the end, the pain became so unbearable that Fiona stopped eating altogether…

Eventually she checked herself into a psychiatric unit, believing she must be anorexic, but on the fourth day she collapsed in agony and rushed to hospital.

There doctors discovered Fiona had a huge stomach ulcer and was in fact suffering from Crohn’s disease, which causes chronic inflammation of the bowel and intestines.

Mum of two Kyra Wright got in touch recently to ask if we could sell her story to a women’s magazine. But after confessing her feelings to her husband to be just two weeks before the big day, she decided that with 150 guests booked and the wedding paid for, she should go ahead with the ceremony.
