Talk to the Press handle Tunisian terror attack victim’s story with the national media
Are you a terror attack victim? Every week, we are contacted by dozens of people caught up in national news stories and making headlines around the world. Through no fault of their own, ordinary people can find themselves under the media spotlight and it can be a scary and daunting place to be. When the national press wants to speak to you, we’re here to help and guide you.
At Talk to the Press, we help people handle the media and offer free, confidential advice regarding who to speak to, offers and keeping control of your story.
Our aim is to make sure the process is as stress-free as possible and that people are paid properly for their interviews and are doing the media which best suits their aims.
Generally, we will arrange a national paper interview first, then TV and two magazine deals – depending on the story.
We ensure that EVERY person who’s represented by us gets paid the true value for their story and as NCTJ accredited journalists, who have worked in the media for years, we know how much your story is worth.
Selling your story directly to a paper can be an overwhelming and daunting process, reporters in house often do not have the time to pay full attention to the details of your story. In addition, we often hear horror stories of people being promised a fee for their story and then not receiving it once the story is published.
As we’re a press agency, our contacts are high up on the papers and we can get great offers and decisions quickly. If they offer a fee, they pay it and it’s as simple as that.
How did we help Kirsty Murray?
Kirsty Murray and fiance Radley Ruszkiewicz became the poster couple of hope and they survived the Tunisia terror attacks in June.
Heartbreakingly, the horror from that day led to the breakdown of their 8 year relationship and Radley finished with Kirsty by text – saying there was no way back for the couple.
We handled Kirsty’s media from the start and secured her an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror.
Last week she spoke about her break up in the Sunday Mirror’s sister paper The Sunday People.
